Overview

Democratic discourse depends on a reliable and pluralistic information environment. This programme examines foreign information manipulation and interference (FIMI) and domestic information manipulation and interference (DIMI) in the region.

We analyse how state and non-state actors shape information environments, how tech platforms function as political actors through algorithmic curation, and how civic institutions and regulatory frameworks can strengthen information integrity.
